Ohio state law requires that every child entering Kindergarten be screened. It is the policy of the Margaretta Local School District Board of Education that each child who will be 5 years of age on or before September 30 shall be eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
2017-2018 kindergarten screening for residents of the Margaretta Local School District will be held May 11-12, 2017. Please call the Margaretta Board office at 419-684-5322 to schedule a time for registration and your child to be screened. The following appointment times are available:
Thursday, May 11
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Friday, May 12
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
12:45 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Please bring with you to Kindergarten Screening & Registration:
• your child
• 2 forms of proof of residency with name/address of legal guardian
• legal guardian's driver's license or photo ID
• child's official birth certificate
• child's immunization/shot records
• child's social security card
• completed 2017-2018 Kindergarten Registration packet
• custody paperwork designating a residential parent (if applicable)

Non-residents wishing to enroll at Margaretta for the 2017-2018 school year must first complete an open enrollment application. Registration and screening will take place after notification of open enrollment acceptance.
NOTE: Those students currently enrolled in the Margaretta Preschool Program with Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Barnette do not need to attend screening. The registration packet and required documenation is still required, but can be turned in to your preschool teachers.
