Ohio state law requires that every child entering Kindergarten be screened. It is the policy of the Margaretta Local School District Board of Education that each child who will be 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2018, shall be eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
2018-2019 kindergarten screening for residents of the Margaretta Local School District will be held April 26-27, 2018. Please call the Margaretta Board office at 419-684-5322 to schedule a time for registration and your child to be screened. The following appointment times are available:
Thursday, April 26
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Friday, April 27
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
12:45 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Please bring with you to Kindergarten Screening & Registration:
• your child
• 2 forms of proof of residency with name/address of legal guardian
• legal guardian's driver's license or photo ID
• child's official birth certificate
• child's immunization/shot records
• child's social security card
• completed Kindergarten Registration packet
• custody paperwork designating a residential parent (if applicable)
The Kindergarten Registration Packet can be found at www.margarettaschooldistrict.com. Please bring all needed materials to your appointment. Dentist & Physician forms can be turned in the first week of school.
An immunization clinic will also be available during screening times. Parents must first call the Erie County Health Department at 419-626-5623 ext. 174 to schedule an appointment for your child.
Non-residents wishing to enroll at Margaretta for the 2018-2019 school year must first complete an open enrollment application. Registration and screening will take place after notification of open enrollment acceptance.
