Mandatory Fall Sports Meeting

The mandatory Fall Sports parent preseason athletic meeting will be held on Saturday, July 29th at 9:00 a.m. This meeting is required by OHSAA for all athletes in grades 7-12 and will be held in the Margaretta High School Gymnasium. The general purpose of this meeting is to make students and their parents aware of the obligations they must meet in order to have the privilege of participating in interscholastic athletics. You will be reviewing the school's essential eligibility standards, our athletic policies and/or code of conduct, procedures related to topics like sportsmanship, and health/concussion/sports medicine issues. I hope you will join us for this informative meeting. If a student and/or parent are unable to attend this mandatory preseason meeting, please contact Gary Barrett to schedule an appointment. Student athletes will not be allowed to participate in athletic contests until the preseason meeting is completed.

Following the mandatory Preseason Meeting, (10:00 a.m.) we will have our annual booster drive. Please plan on your student athlete staying around to help. The boosters support our student athletes in all sports, and the booster drive is relied upon for a big portion of their funding. If you are able to drive, or help in any other capacity we would greatly welcome your support.

Middle School/High School Grade Cards

Middle school and high school grade cards are now available in Progress Book or to be picked up in the Main Office. If accessing a grade card in Progress Book, follow these steps:
1. Sign in to Progress Book
2. In left hand column, click on "Report Card"
3. In upper right of page, click "View Paper Report Card"
4. Print
If needing to pick up in the Main Office, please call (419) 684-5351 in advance for the report card to be printed and available.

7th/12th Grade Required Vaccinations

For the 2017-2018 school year, the Ohio Department of Health requires a Meningitis vaccine and booster vaccine of Tdap prior to entry into 7th grade. Click here for more information.

 For the 2017-2018 school year, Ohio law will require that your child has received two (2) Meningitis vaccines before entry into the twelfth grade. If your child has not received any meningococcal vaccines and they are over the age of 16, only one dose will be required. Click here for more information.

If he/she has not already received the these vaccinations at a recent check-up, please make an appointment soon to avoid the summer rush. Proof of vaccine must be turned in to the school by September 15th to avoid being excluded from school.

The vaccines are also available at any of the Erie County Health Department Outreach Clinics. Margaretta Township Hall has Outreach Clinics on May 25th and June 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 am.
