5/26/17 MS/HS ANNOUNCEMENTS: Attention juniors enrolled in senior AP Literature & Composition for the 2017-2018 school year: Please pick up your summer reading assignment from the main office. See Mrs. Weller with any questions.

Any student who wants their sports pictures that are on the bulletin board by the guidance office, feel free to take them.

The 2017/18 leadership class will meet Tuesday May 30th at 7:30 am in the Conference Room.

The new student government wil meet for the first time Wednesday May 31at at 7:30 am in the Conference Room.

Attention next year's AP English Language and Composition students: please stop by Miss Comparette's room (207) to pick up your summer reading assignment!

If there are any students who are planning on taking the June ACT test and want practice packets, see Mrs. Wurzel by Thursday.

Cross Country meeting for all Junior High and High School runners will be Thursday, May 26, at Village Pizza at 3:00.

There will be open gym for Jr. High girls Wednesday, May 31 from 6:30-8:30 at MHS. There will be a brief parents' meeting 8:30 after Open Gym.

Attention Junior High Students looking for something fun and exciting to do this summer? Terra State Community College is having their "Kids College" from July 24-July 27. You can experience classes from creative photography, cyber coding & security, Video Games Technology & many more exciting classes. Every participant will receive a free Terra State Community College T-Shirt & water bottle. Please see Mr. Clark on the 2nd floor for more information.

There has been a change in the Spring sports Banquet. It will now be held Wednesday, May 31st at 6pm in the High School Gymnasium. This is for ALL High School Spring sports. Tickets are on sale in the Athletic Office for $13.00.

ATTENTION SENIORS:
Seniors: It's that time of the year! If you would like to publish when and where your graduation party will be, please stop by the Guidance Office and sign the clip board.

Please stop by the Guidance Office and sign the clip board with any scholarships you have received and continue to record them as you receive them. This information will be listed in the graduation program. If you do not tell us, it will not be in the program.

7th/12th Grade Required Vaccinations

For the 2017-2018 school year, the Ohio Department of Health requires a Meningitis vaccine and booster vaccine of Tdap prior to entry into 7th grade. Click here for more information.

 For the 2017-2018 school year, Ohio law will require that your child has received two (2) Meningitis vaccines before entry into the twelfth grade. If your child has not received any meningococcal vaccines and they are over the age of 16, only one dose will be required. Click here for more information.

If he/she has not already received the these vaccinations at a recent check-up, please make an appointment soon to avoid the summer rush. Proof of vaccine must be turned in to the school by September 15th to avoid being excluded from school.

The vaccines are also available at any of the Erie County Health Department Outreach Clinics. Margaretta Township Hall has Outreach Clinics on May 25th and June 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 am. Please call (419) 626-5623 Ext. 174. to schedule an appointment. Additional dates and a schedule of area clinics can be found at www.eriecohealthohio.org or in the school office. High School & Middle School Yearbooks

Attention students in grades 9-12: Time is running out to order your 2016-2017 Margaretta yearbook. Please order online at jostenyearbooks.com by midnight on Friday, May 19th.

It is now time to order your 2017 Margaretta Middle School yearbook. The cost is $20.00 and the deadline for ordering is midnight, May 19th. To purchase a yearbook, you can go online to jostenyearbooks.com or make a check payable to Margaretta Yearbook and return order form and check to Mrs. Meyers. 2017-2018 Course Description Guide

The 2017-2018 Course Description Guide is now available online.

ACT and SAT practice tests available through OhioMeansJobs K-12

Students in Ohio can take free practice tests for the ACT and SAT through OhioMeansJobs K-12 for both college admission exams. The practice tests are in the Assessment and Training Center. The center is a collection of online practice tests and skill improvement resources for students from grade four through adult and job seekers. A variety of practice tests are available including the ACT, SAT, PSAT, AP, GED, WorkKeys, ASVAB (Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery), and tests for nursing, plumbing, EMT and electrical careers. Modules to help improve computer, writing and math skills also are available.

There are options within each exam that allow a user to practice with explanations, simulate the real test or learn by reviewing the answers as they go along. Upon completion of any practice test, a record will be stored in the student's OhioMeansJobs K-12 Backpack.
